FEDAKO's membership policy

​To participate in tournaments (co)organized by FEDAKO, obtain a FIDE ID, or receive FIDE ratings under our federation, one must register as either a Free Extraordinary Member or a
Paying Regular Member. If a tournament allows international/ non-member participants, they do not gather qualification points for our Federation’s Selection and a higher attendance fee may apply.

FEDAKO offers the following membership options:

A) Free Extraordinary Member (“Buitengewoon Lid”)

• No yearly contribution is required.
• There is no minimum age requirement, but you must officially reside in Curaçao according to the Civil Registry (Kranshi).
• You are allowed to participate in FEDAKO tournaments, subject to a fee that covers costs such as consumptions, volunteers, venue/electricity, etc.
• You do not have access to, nor voting rights in, the General Assembly Members Meeting.

B ) Paying Regular Member (“Gewoon Lid”)

• You must be at least 16 years old and officially reside in Curaçao according to the Civil Registry (Kranshi).
• You are required to pay the yearly membership contribution, currently set at XCg 25.
• You have access to, and voting rights in, the General Assembly Members Meeting.
• You are eligible to participate in FEDAKO tournaments, subject to a fee that covers
  costs such as consumptions, volunteers, venue/electricity, etc.

Applicable to all new members

• To obtain a FIDE ID and FIDE ratings under our federation (AHO), a one-time fee of XCg 25 is required.
• If you hold a FIDE ID under our federation and wish to participate in an international tournament requiring our registration, we can facilitate your entry at your own cost. If there are more players than seats available for our federation (e.g., in the Olympiad), the seats will be assigned according to our selection policy or at the board’s discretion.
