Yash Devnani wins National U20 Youth Championship 2025

Yash Devnani claims the title as new National U20 Champion for 2025. After a 5 round battle of interesting games over the weekend of 20th - 21st October between various local young and upcoming chess talents at Frater Aurelio SBO, Yash Devnani managed to grab 4.5 pts after drawing against Jie Peng Wu in the final round crowning him as the new champion, taking the title away from former 2 year consecutive champion Vaibhav Bedi who remained on 3 pts after a loss in round 3 against Yash himself and in round 5 against WCM Liana Pieter who claimed 2nd place leaving Jie Peng Wu on 3rd. As the top 3 winners claimed their respective trophies medal prizes were given out for the the top 3 players for U16 (under age 16) and U14 (under age 14) players.
