The International Chess Federation (FIDE) is the governing body of the sport of chess, and it regulates all international chess competitions. Constituted as a non-governmental institution, it was recognized by the International Olympic Committee as a Global Sporting Organization in 1999.
The Confederation of Chess for America is the organization
established by the World Chess Federation (FIDE) on October 13th 1998, as the supreme body in
the domain of chess in the Americas, strengthening the links between America's national
federations and establishing mutual goals and representation.
The Federashon Deporte i Olímpiko Kòrsou (FDOK) is the national body dedicated to advancing sport and the Olympic movement in Curaçao. FDOK exists to empower athletes, support federations and strengthen the pathways that help Curaçaoan talent grow, compete, and shine locally, regionally and internationally.
