Youth Chess Institute honors legendary Jozef "Boy" Plaate

Curacao Youth Chess Institute organized its 1st school chess tournament honoring the late legendary chess player and chess sport contributor Mr. Jozef "Boy" Plaate which was held at Sentro Deportivo Korsou and counted with a participation of about 40 youth chess players. The 5 round tournament was played by 10 minute games in U12 and U18 groups where the various youth players battled over the checkered boards for top spots in the final rankings representing their school.
